How can artistic practices, pedagogic alternatives and creative investigations make it possible to formulate questions concerning the experiences of learning in relation to dilemmas of education in the developing world? To find this out, this six-part documentary series follows six artists, as creative educators, on their journey to the primary schools in a completely unfamiliar rural location. We learn how they struggle to mediate a continuous process in which the act of learning is constructed, negotiated and decided upon collectively within the place of learning. During the series, through collective means, the language, tools and techniques of learning formerly restricted to “specialised teachers”, are reinvented artistically.
